Hello Paul
Thank you for the healing! Your course is wonderful and it came at the right time!
I am a teacher at a school for children with difficulties in life, so this school is the last change. We work different than other schools. In my sector, I am working to construct buildings, and in another sector, I give lessons for understanding automobiles!
So in my life now, I have to bring down the old beliefs, so I can construct new ones. Inside and out, my work is a reflection of those beliefs.
Another question: If I think strongly with my heart on a person, is that telepathy? And if he or she feels that, how can I communicate in the mind with the other person? How do I know I dont make it up myself? I noticed that when I did the exercise to change the dream, there was a strong will in me that wanted to change the situation.
How do I know its my control (will) who is talking, or the energy part of me that is talking?
Thank you for your time.
Aloha,
Yes,
the heart, intent and focus begins the telepathic state of being. The person will feel it,
though sometimes only on a subconscious level. You will know the effects when you carry
that feeling with you the next time you speak with him/her. When you learn to trust and
have faith in the universe, believing everything is connected, you will know for sure that
you have made the communication. Without the trust, your connection may be weakened and
experience lessened effects..
Energy
patterns are always present. Your ku (body) will feel them and give you a signal. You can
always ask it, or your higher self, what changes are best for you and then make a decision
to take the next step. Always remember that love is your guide, and those steps will
eventually keep your path clear. If it feels like control, there is usually fear. Clear it
by deep breathing and reconnecting with your heart. An answer will come to you quickly.
Hope this helps.
Aloha!
We have just received the Huna Healer Training tapes/package and the Shaman video - all
exciting at first glance.
I have questions regarding the tools:How do you use the Eye of Kanaloa? Are there further
references to it?
Yours
Mahalo for your email and your questions about the course material. I hope you are gaining much from the teachings.
The Eye of Kanaloa pattern can be used to build energy during your meditation on it, or used for calming and soothing- this is the "Hu" and "Na" energies (similar to "yang/yin)spoken of on the tapes. I am attaching an explanation of the Eye for your better understanding of its meaning. I also have a larger version available on 8"x11" laminated wall hanging on my website.
Please let me know if I can be of further help.
Mahalo and Aloha
Aloha Paul!
Thanks for your email. My blessing for your book. I write from Caracas, Venezuela (South American Country).
Paul, what the meaning the navel in the Huna philosophy? Can I use the navel for healing?
Aloha,
Thank you for your email and blessing!
The navel is a very important part of Hawaiian kupua ancient culture. It
represents our connection with the physical world in which we live. It was
the lifeline from our ancestors (mother) and symbolically connects us with
the waking realm.
We use this "piko" center for most every healing, by focusing on it when we
begin our breathing exercises for healing, and also when we want to connect
with a specific person, place or thing that needs healing. It is explained
fully in my book, The Adventurer's Quest and is practiced in all of our 1-2 day workshops
on audio tape as well.
Hope this helps!
Aloha Paul,
Dear Paul, Sorry to bother you but is it possible to inform me about how to
quickly manifest a certain amount of money for an emergency need? Thank
you very much.
Note: I wonder whether there is a place (site) where I could read reports
from people telling how they cured themselves, achieved an instant goal,
etc. obviously using Huna.
Have a great day and my warmest regards and blessings for all of you.
Aloha
Aloha,
Manifesting money may not be as easy as manifesting the thing that the money
will buy- the emergency.
The fastest way is to bless everyone and everything that represents your
goal- seeing the emergency taken care of and constantly focus on the desired
result. When you can clearly see the new situation as you like it, take
action to bring it into the physical world. This can be done by working
extra hours, carrying a picture or color symbol of the new dream, or
whatever makes the ku feel like it is happening now.
Speak to the universe what it is you want, see it happening, trust that it is
occurring, and do something to keep it in the physical manifestation
process.
Best of success to you.
Aloha, Paul
Thank you very much for the information. (In Portuguese we would say: MUITO OBRIGADO PELA INFORMACAO.)
Aloha - have a nice / wonderful day. Here in Brazil we use to say UM GRANDE ABRAÇO, which means a "big hug."
Over the last year, we have experienced sorrow in our family. As we have now passed through this pain, our home seems to have taken on this spiritual energy. In the past I have used sweet grass to sweep the house and realign the positive energy in our home. I no longer have any sweet grass and would like to understand other ways of realigning positive spiritual energy in our home to create the sense of peace and love we have known in the past.
Aloha,
In my tradition we recognize that everything is spirit. Sweetgrass is a wonderful tool for recognizing the harmony of that spirit. Nonetheless, it is only one of an infinite number of tools handed to us from many cultures throughout the ages.
When you use a tool, it incorporates both intent for the tool and empowerment for its purpose. We never have had sweetgrass here in Hawaii, but had much water and salt. These have become tools for Hawaiian House Blessings and are still used for body cleansing before massages and blessings of all kinds today. Sea (ocean) salt is seen as the "salt" of life as Jesus put it, but as an integral part of our life force itself. Thus, along with the water of life, it became a powerful symbol of cleansing.
On the Mainland, I sometimes had a difficult time obtaining sea salt, so used regular salt, empowering it with a mission and purpose for cleansing. Mix it in a bowl of water (tap water is fine) and sprinkle it lightly into the doorway of each room of the house. Use your fingers, flicking it in droplets, or a ti leaf (as we do here) or another tool such as a wand or feather. Always give a blessing to the room or a chant for its purpose and your intent, just as you would sweetgrass. Bless each room as you pass through the house and, at the end of your cleansing, take what is left and spread it on the ground at the entrance to the home, blessing the Earth that the house is built upon. Finally, ask the spirit of the house itself to harmonize your energies together.
Feel the change and love!
I just visited your homepage and read your story. Can
you give me a hint how to USE dreams? And how to remember them better? What book can I
read for this? What is HAIPULE??
Thank you for your help
Aloha,
Thank you for your email and visiting the web site!
Hawaiian healers have used dreams for many many things. In a sense, your
entire life is a dream, much like a movie, and you are the director. We can
use dreams for helping us understand our present situations, interpreting
events that occur in our lives, and premonitions, or insights, of the future
and how we can change it.
Haipule is the art of co-creating, or bringing a new "dream" into being. It
is the technique for manifestation, spoken about in depth in my new book,
but also referred to in Serge King's work, Urban Shaman. It is described in
most of our audio workshops, since it is the key to effecting change in your
behavior and "seeing" the world as you wish it. If you are studying the Huna
process, you may also here it referred to as WIFM- Words, Images, Feelings
and Movement.
Remembering dreams (also described in my new book!) begins with focus and
intent. First, a few minutes before you go to sleep at night, tell your
subconscious (ku- body mind) that you are going to remember your dream(s)
and that you will wake up after the dream. Do not be surprised if you awaken
at 2 or 3 am! Keep a journal or piece of paper at your bedside to write down
the dream when you awaken. After just a few nights, sometimes as long as 2
weeks, you will be remembering the dreams and able to write them down at
your normal waking time. I call this "programming the ku" (subconscious).
You may have done something similar when there was an important reason for
you to awaken earlier than normal, and the subconscious "automatic alarm"
got you up in time.
Daydreaming is another form of using dream and imagination for co-creating
your life, but I will save that for another time!
Again, mahalo for your interest and I hope this helps.
Aloha.
Aloha Paul,
How are you doing my friend? How is the beautiful paradise HAWAII ?
Sorry to bother you but I would like to know whether you or Serge King could give me a tip
or some guidance.
I am still having the horrible panic attack (an extreme anxiety attack) from a few weeks
ago when I was walking down a street. It was so strong that I decided to walk into an
emergency attendance in a hospital which coincidentally was very near. Guess what ? My
blood pressure was 22 X 14! For my age of 47 years old, that is extremely dangerous.
As always, doctors gave me a drug to lower the blood pressure and a strong pill against
the anxiety. I just had another one here at my house, which is not unusual, but I wonder
whether in some courses or interviews with Serge King, he specifically teaches some method
in order to work and get rid of such attacks. Based on his video (Instant Healing) I am
trying the techniques to teach my KU that I do not have panic attacks but it is not
working. To the contrary, the more I try, the more I have the attacks.
I look forward to your valuable comments.
My warmest regards to all of you.
Aloha
Mahalo for your email and your confidence in the Huna
kupua method. Do not feel alone!
Panic attacks always come from an uncertainty of a future event or events. The outcome of
such events may seem very fearful to the ku, which has yet to build confidence in the
area. Aghhhh!!!!
Serge, as you probably know, always recommends relaxing the body before any healing. His
piko-piko technique is perfect for panic. Whenever you feel the pressure coming on, begin
your deep breathing, focusing on your spiritual connection center (crown of your head) as
you inhale, and on your ku center (navel) as you exhale. Repeat this breathing pattern for
1-2
minutes, or until your body is relaxed.
Next, tap your thymus gland (in your security center- the chest) 7 times, once for each
principle. Say the principles as you do this, or repeat: "I am aware, I am free, I am
focused, I am present, I am loving, I am powerful (confident), I am flexible." Rest
for a moment and do this three times. Feel the change and then go out and have a wonderful
day!!!
Do this at least three times a day for a week, and the panic attacks will disappear
altogether.
Aloha,
I have put your name in our Healing Circle and we will gather tomorrow for your benefit.
In the meantime, look at the possibilities of anger toward someone, including yourself, in
regards to how you are handling situations in life. Since you mentioned the rash being on
both hands, it may be helpful to literally "ask" the rash what it is related to,
and listen closely for anything that comes to mind. The answer will be the response that
can get to the root of the difficulty. You then can harmonize the body again by forgiving
yourself, the situation, or people that are involved in the angry feelings.
Hope this helps!
Aloha Paul,
After a long time of childcaring-absence I have got the chance to finish my studies in
Cultural Anthropology. But instead of using my time for concentrated work, I waste time, I
feel weak, without power, embarressed, I don't dare to ask for help -and I feel pain in my
shoulders and my neck, because I behave and look like a turtle. Please help.
Aloha,
Your name is in our Healing Circle.
Instead of feeling that you look like a turtle, try taking a few minutes a day to clearly
focus on looking like a lioness. Proud and strong, yet caring for her cubs. Let your
imagination and body take on those characteristics until a little voice inside says
"Yes!"
Physically, you can practice just a few minutes at a time, standing up against a wall and
gently pulling your shoulders back to touch the wall. Self-esteem is an issue of
"I am!" You have done many wonderful things in your life. Remind yourself as
often as you can that you are worthy of what you seek.
I have heard of a special Huna technique called piko piko. How
does it work?
Thank you for your email and your interest in Huna.
Piko Piko is an ancient breathing style used for centering and focus.
It literally means "center to center". In Huna healing there are many energy
centers, or piko points. The two most powerful are the navel and the crown
of the head. The navel represents your physical source and lifeline while the
crown symbolizes your connection with the aumakua, or spiritual realm.
You may perform the breathing pattern seated or standing. The process is as
follows:
1. Get in a relaxed position.
2. Put one hand on the crown of your head, and the other on your navel. You
can use either hand for the positions.
3. Begin your deep breathing. Inhale while focusing on the crown of your
head and exhale with attention on your navel. The hands will help you focus.
4. Continue until you feel energized. This could be anywhere from 2-10
minutes.
5. You are now ready to ask questions of your spirit or make a prayer for
manifestations in your life.
6. Close by thanking and blessing your spiritual source.
There are many, many variations of piko-piko, but this is the basic form.
You will find it performed in different ways on audio tape and video
selections from our Huna By Mail catalog. It can be found in this website in the
Huna for the Home area
Hi Paul,
There are a lot of things happening around me as we get close to Millennium, good and
bad. I have been become very emotional about everything when I think about
the history of people and the earth the last 2000 years. At the moment, I
think I am going to Bali for Millennium. But when I thought about it deeply,
I really don't want to spend such a meaningful moment with a lot of people in
a crazy party or anything like that. It doesn't mean a lot to some people,
but it means a lot to me when I think why I was born in this time of the
history to cross over the millenium. From your point of view,
what does the millennium mean? Lots of love
Aloha,
Mahalo for your email. There is much ado about the millennium change, but it
can be viewed symbolically. It can be incredibly powerful symbolism, in that the
turning of the calendar another thousand years may create a need in many for
profound changes, if not revisitations from holy masters!
Really, however, it can be viewed as just another day. What year do the Chinese think it
is? What about the Jewish community? What year is it in the Islamic faith?
Really, is it the new millennium in the year 2000, or 2001? Besides, isn't
it a known fact that Jesus (whom the calendar is charted for) was actually
born 3 or 4 years BCE?
When we put it into perspective, it seems to be just another reason for many to party and
for others, to make strong committments for change. If your ku can pick up a wonderful new
pattern from all the energy surrounding the event, then it is a monumental time, indeed.
I and many others here, have no plans for the evening or big event. For much
of humankind, it is a fascination with the unknown and conjures up ideas of
second comings and grandiose events. Some predict cataclysmic happenings as
well. Funny, in a universe that wears no watch and has no clock on its
infinite walls, the energy will undoubtabtly move along the way it always
has, with the Earth revolving around the Sun and the Moon spinning every 28 days
around the Earth.
We do world healing prayers quite often, so any influx of energy in that
area would be greatly appreciated. In Huna, now is the moment of power, so
why wait until the millennium? There will probably be many groups doing
healing meditations on New Year's Eve, so any prayer you can add will help intensify the
love.
I have had poor health in my bowel area for years. I
would also like to
know how to work with this myself. In the next few months I will be moving
to a new area. I am moving out in faith and I would like techniques on how to
work to align body, mind and spirit so that I attract the right home to move
along with my work. Presently I have no work but I feel I need to move to this place.
I have put you in our healing circle for blessing and
confidence.
The bowels are part of your security center. This is an area that tends to
flair up when you are not feeling safe. It may have been in family
relationships at first, or financial security, or any other area that leads
to fearful thoughts that you continue to hold on to. I suggest that you look into any area
of
your life that is bringing up anger and fear and release it. Forgive it, harmonize with it
and look into how you will NOW conduct your life without it. Bless it for
helping you to this point and release it to your Higher Self, God, the
universe, etc. It doesn't matter anymore. Continually remind yourself of
that. It is in the PAST and it doesn't matter anymore.
If you find nothing, do not be alarmed. Your ku (subconscious) has been
trying to save you from the pain for a long time. In that case, go in and
ask the bowels what they are trying to tell you, and take a lot of time with
this. It is time you had a long talk with this area of the body. Find out as
much as you can and write it down if you wish. Then bless and forgive it.
Even if you don't know exactly what it is, tell the pain that you forgive it
and it doesn't matter anymore. Again, it was in the past, and you now will
focus on what you want in life, with full confidence and love. Repeat the
forgiveness and keep the focus each time the pain arises.
You can get more ideas from Serge King's book Imagineering for Health or
Urban Shaman. I have also done a course on audio tapes called Healing With
the Mind. Any of these will give you more depth in your quest for healing.
Blessings and Aloha.
Hello Paul,
Thank you for the advice. The ride went well, no sea sickness or
anxiety. I enjoyed the trip thoroughly. Thank you.
If it's not too much trouble, would you please give me a few tips on
manifesting a job? I was told that you were very successful at this. I
can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Manifesting a job can be done with haipule. The first 4 principles are
involved as you first become aware of what it is you would like and use
piko-piko or other breathing patterns to energize and tell the ku that there
is going to be a change. Secondly you release any doubt or fear of the new
job or its financial attachments by affirming clearly what job you want and
saying "I have.." or "I am... ". This keeps your focus in the present
and
lets the universe know that you have it NOW.
Third, visualize the new position as clearly as you can, incorporating all
the senses so the ku REALLY wants to get it. See it, hear it, touch it and
even smell the new surroundings you will be in. Get as clear picture for the
ku as necessary in cluding the amount of money it will bring. This may take
a few minutes at first.
Lastly, DO something to get the ball rolling. Check the papers, job boards,
hang around people in the field, anything and everything related to the new
job. Also, I suggest carrying around a stone, picture or symbol that
represents the new position.
You may do a lengthy ritual with this at first, then repeat it often
throughout the day to maintain focus. A minute here and a minute there 100
times a day is better than twenty minutes in the morning and evenings. Keep
reminding yourself about the dream, while driving, at a red light or
standing in line. Bless all that the new dream will bring, trust that it is
happening and EXPECT it. Pau! It is finished.
If doubt comes in, ok. Gently bring yourself back to the focus and benefits
of the new dream. This will take alot of awareness at first, but soon the ku
will be repatterned to where it stops happening.
As Serge would say, "Bless everyone and everything that represents your
dream!"
In 1994 I worked with one of your former students from Hawaii. She does a process of helping people remember past lives, but not through hypnosis. I observed her unwinding the Chakras or moving her hand over them in a specific way. She was probably trained by you some time before 1994 because she has not returned to Hawaii for many years. Do you have this instruction of working with the chakras, unwinding them or manipulating them, or however it works, for past life recall on video tape? If you do, please let me know and I will purchase it. I do have your catalog that arrived about 3 weeks ago and it is not listed there. Please respond and God Bless you.
As Huna is a Hawaiian philosophy and practice, we do not carry materials on chakra
clearing or healing methods. That is an Indian tradition and has been expanded in many
ways by other schools of healing worldwide. I have personally used a pendulum for clearing
chakras along with reiki work upon specific request by individuals and have witnessed past
life recall from the procedure. Unfortunately, I do not know Dawn's system and highly
recommend that you contact her directly for that method.
An interesting reference book on this type of cleansing is Barbara Brennan's "Hands
of Light." It may give you the necessary catalyst for developing your own system for
chakra clearing and possible past life experiences. Since every spirit is individual as
are its experiences, Huna does not have a system per se, but uses any techniques the
healer knows of that are effective for the individual. The only reference we have in the
video library regarding past lives is Time Travel, but it in no way uses the chakra
system. It does, however, have some interesting ideas and practices of Huna that may also
work.
I have a friend who is having dreams that menehune are biting his feet. When he wakes, his toes are inflamed and sore. He is young and been raised Christian. I am a wiccan. I and his father are stationed on O'ahu. My question is will a circle hold the menehune in place, if it is the little people, or is there a better solution that you can suggest. I await your reply. Blessed Be.
Aspirin works for those who believe aspirin will help them. For those with fears it brings allergies and unwanted side effects. Ritual is no different. To help an individual you must work within his beliefs, i.e., guiding the spirit of menehune to where HE would like it to go. Wiccans don't find enlightenment under Buddhist bodhi trees, nor do Christians find it easy to accept the old ways. If he acknowledges that it is a menehune, then he must logically acknowledge the spirit of menehune exist and are speaking with him through his feet. They are aumakua of the aina and may have something to do with his plans in life. The feet may represent his moving forward in life- taking steps toward his future. The inflammation is the menehune showing him the anger he holds. Best that he become aware of this situation. Next, let him change his attitude toward whatever or whomever restricts this movement, (Blessing and forgiveness is the fastest, and most christian way) which will change his outer dream of life, and the inner message from the menehune will be of support or disappear altogether. Be sure that he gives blessings at bedside, as he enters the dreamworld. The menehune reside in po, and usually come out for constructive endeavors. He need not be afraid, but forgive others and himself as soon as possible, and tonight he will sleep well.
So. . .. I have absolute affirmation that the Huna
repatterning method works and I am grateful for the lesson. But. . . how about old
injuries or larger problems? I have a (Western) diagnosis of degenerative arthritis in my
knees, and although I have been trying to heal this and regenerate cartilage. I have had
no luck so far. I have almost constant pain, X-rays show no cartilage in the right knee,
and I am not currently as active as I want to be. A complete knee replacement is
suggested, but I am very reluctant to do so - intuition says no cutting into the earth
suit.
I feel most strongly that this condition can be healed with Huna methods, although it has
roots in childhood injury. Can you please direct me to the best information or teacher or
workshop or intuitive contact which will assist my quest for healing this particular
problem? Especially since it began so long ago?
In Huna, we say that anything is possible (if you can figure out how to do it) and there are infinite ways to heal. Your insight of using the same repatterning technique for your knee injury may be beneficial.
Because of the time span involved, you may want to go a step further and revisit the memory (dream) of the incident leading to the injury and literally change the events that you believe occurred. This can repattern the ku's (your subconscious) reaction to the incident and the physical ramifications. Intense focus will be required, as will be the repatterning effort being repeated continuously as you did with your finger. Relive the dream and change it. If you fell off a bike, for example, change the sequence of events (such as removing the object that resulted in your fall) and sense yourself totally in control and happily rolling along. This, as I say, may take many repetitions until the ku adopts the new dream.
On a physical level, you may want to change the belief you have about the X-ray. All modern technology has room for error, just as "to err is human!" If you hold a belief that there is no cartilage present in your knee, none will be seem apparent and the effects of that idea will seem manifest. How often have you thought an item was lost, then it appeared "right under your nose?" To bolster confidence on this level, you may want to take shark cartilage capsules or equivalent natural herbs, etc. to strengthen your focus in that area.
On a symbolic level, let's look at what the knee represents in life. SergeKing, in his book Imagineering For Health, mentions a condition he had in earlier years and attributes the knee area as reflecting "feelings of humility, flexibility regarding status, and fears to maintaining our position and 'standing up' to uncertainties and possible dangers." Revisit your life again when the incident occurred and see if there is any correlation. When you find it, change the dream again to now contain the confidence in yourself and harmony with the people and events in your life that may bring strength to the knee. This, too, may take extensive focus and repatterning of past thought/behavior patterns. The right knee will have something to do with the energetic, male or career side of life. The left will be in your female relationships and passive, quiet areas of life.
Another Huna technique works directly with body parts themselves. You can focus on your healthy knee, feeling its strength and agility, and transfer that feeling and energy to the other, having it remember the time when it was as strong, then reinstating that pattern of health.
These are just a few suggestions to get you started. Deep changes require deep intent, focus and confidence. Mark your progress weekly and continue with the methods that are working in all areas (7th principle). I will also put you in our weekly healing circle tonight.
Be aware now of signs along your path that support your efforts. May you heal and be healed!
Aloha, Paul, and thanks for the wonderful, beautiful website!
I live in North Carolina, and have a history of health problems brought about by a poor attitude and a belief in sickness. Once I realized that and started on a conscious spiritual journey, I began to get better. I asked a local teacher who has knowledge of many different energy attunements for the strongest energy I could get in one workshop, and he said Huna was more powerful than reiki. I got 14 attunements from him, and the process helped me tremendously! I can't wait to get higher levels.
I'm a student of A Course in Miracles and other spiritual texts that maintain that we get what we expect, we see the world we believe in, etc. I believe we create our lives according to our wishes. Why then would it be impossible to change a hair on our heads or to know our futures, as is stated in one of the huna principles? Did we not create the hair on our heads, and so can change it? Must we not know the future in order to manifest it? Maybe not consciously, though - is that what you mean by that? I believe we know everything - we just don't know we know it! hehe! Kinda silly sounding, ain't it? :-)
Anyway, I'm a lot better now and enjoying the Huna very much, and I love your website!
Mahalo for visiting the site and your email. Your
comments are well founded and the questions very poignant for the times.
Many believe that we create our own realities, and, to a degree, Huna views are similar.
The difference, however so slight, is important.
The 4th principle stating that "Now is the Moment of Power," means that no power
is in the past, just memories that we have of it here and now. It also means that there is
no power in the future- nothing we can create- as it is a reaction to our
current actions and focus. "As ye sow, so shall ye reap."
We are dancing with the other infinite number of "co-creators" in the universe,
and as we harmonize with those which represent our goals, so do those dreams manifest in
the physical world. Some dreams take more focus than others, but it is never a one person
show. It is constant interaction with all spirits. To manifest the future we cannot know
it, but use the tool of imagination to energetically influence it in this present moment,
with total confidence that the infinite universe (God, Great Spirit, etc.) holds
that dream within it and will reveal it according to our beliefs. Sometimes, however,
there are other aspects of Nature that, as we, are co-creators, and have different
energetic focuses and intents. Thus, in Huna, it is a practice to communicate with all
of Nature that has influence on our dream. So we say to bless everyone and everything that
represents our goal. This has nothing to do with the future, but happens NOW. The future
then can take care of itself, and if it turns out the way we wished, the 7th principle
applies (Effectiveness is the Measure of Truth).
We may (or may not, depending on one's belief) have had a spiritual say as to the hair on
our heads before we came into this plane, as well as our choice of parents and many other
things, but how our lives and hair are tomorrow are direct reflections of our
beliefs and actions today. "Anything is possible if you can figure out how to do
it," Serge King often says. Although my hair is not as gray as most others' my age, I
have yet to find the secret to keeping it the same color as when I was twenty (without
Grecian Formula!). Wishing things to be so is only a step. Edison wished for an
incandescent bulb but it took 10,000+ physical experiments to manifest the dream. Intent,
focus, action and confidence- these will increase the mana (inner influence) to help the
energies of the universe "create" your dream. You are not, nor can do it, alone
as the Creator.
Lastly, yes. We can know everything, as we are a part of it. We are connected with all
things and can communicate at will. This is the foundation of psychic ability. When we
"know" that we know this, the confidence quotient increases and the information
comes more easily. The future, however, is like a boat on the ocean. There is a course
set, as well as a destination, but the currents, tides and prevailing conditions influence
the time of arrival and even the overall outcome. From our experiences we are aware of the
spirit of change and its unpredictabilities. We then "know" to prepare as best
we can, speaking with whatever entities may come into play, using intuition and expecting
the best. Hawaiian navigators were true masters of this.
Hope this clears up a few things.
What kept coming to me was that I needed to give thanks to the spirits that are in this home that I presently live and those of the earth here. I needed to give them thanks before they would release me. Does this make any sense?
Yes, to me. But does it make sense to you?? Huna works with the Aloha Spirit, which centers around love. Blessing, forgiveness, thanks--all are actions that strengthen the body and its relationships. When you are in harmony with your surroundings (the spirits there), they become as friends. Like a friend, a spirit will do whatever it can to help you, which, in this case, is to release you of the unwanted energy you have accepted from them.On an esoteric level, they are symbols of ideas, beliefs, actions, etc. in your life that may no longer serve your path. Thus, by thanking them, you are also thanking yourself for having these inner feelings help you up to this point in your life. As they no longer serve your goals, you are thanking yourself again for the awareness of what you are moving into that is your new dream, and releasing them accordingly. The Eagle, in most every culture, represents freedom (the bird) and strength to change (power of the eagle), as well as clear focus (an "eye" of an eagle, e.g.).
One of the images is that I have plutonium running through my veins. The plutonium
was a positive image in my dream. Another time I am swimming in a lake of plutonium.
Mahalo for your email. I put your name in our healing circle. We have sent, and will continue to send more blessings and prayers to you.
Our daily activities often follow us into the night and into dreams, if we can get there. Unfortunately, they often keep our attention to the degree that we cannot sleep. Unfinished business, deadlines, things we "should" have said- all keep us out of the present moment when we focus on them. What can we do?
The heart aspect of our consciousness, or ku, in Huna, is associated with emotion and memory, among other things. When the conscious directing, thinking mind (lono) gives too many orders, the ku goes into overload. It sends emotional signals through its vehicle, the body, by stress. The lono sends orders, the ku can't assimilate them fast enough and disharmony occurs. It's time to relax, get back into the present moment, and FEEL the body again. One way of doing this is as follows:
1. At LEAST 15 minutes before you go to bed (and periodically throughout the day) begin a deep breathing exercise. We often do the Hawaiian piko-piko style, where, as you inhale deeply you focus on the crown of your head, and as you exhale, focus on your navel. This will take your mind off the other interfering events and energize the body.
2. After at least 4 repetitions of this breath, look around your area and find something beautiful to put your attention on. A picture, flower, plant, or even a pleasant memory of a loved one will do. Continue your deep breathing as you connect with that person, place or thing, admiring its beauty and allowing the body to feel the sensation that its love gives.
3. Maintaining your focus, become aware of your body relaxing and bless it for all it does for you, including giving you this wonderful, loving feeling. Bless all of the events of the day, for they have lead you to this wonderful experience.
4. Release any unwanted thoughts or emotions, telling them that they are not part of this present moment and cannot have any power over your thoughts, unless you let them.
5. Tell yourself "I choose my thoughts and choose to think loving thoughts." Repeat this phrase as you go to sleep. (or during lunch, standing in line, driving, etc.) Remember to release any unwanted thoughts as they arise and continue repeating this phrase.
This will bring you inner peace and harmony. If there is a specific situation that you feel needs to be addressed, I would be happy to set a time for private counseling.
May peace and love be in your dreams. Aloha.
I need your help: I need strength to take care of my life. I'm depressed, because I'm not able to find my spiritual way and its way into my life. I have so many aims - but no power to reach them.
The spiritual path, though often illusive, is always with you. Huna explains this in its 2nd principle, "There are no limits." This means that in an infinite universe all things are connected and anything is possible. When wecombine that with the 3rd principle which states "Energy flows where attention goes," we see that whever we focus our attention, an energy connection is made with the spirit of that focus. Thus, when you sustain focus on anything in your life, you are actually communicating with it, whether it be a person, place, thing or spirit.
Let us now treat the spiritual aims of your life as people, or friends. Just as you have a conversation with a friend, you may speak with the spiritual aims in life. First, as you would with a friend, ask a question about them that you really would like an answer to. Then, just as in a conversation with your friend, listen as they give you answers. Ask questions, receive answers. Trust your answers as you would a friend's.
Because we are turning inward for this conversation, there is often outside "noise" that gets in the way. These are other thoughts of the day, stresses, responsibilities, etc. I recommend that you begin your conversation with deep breathing, as it helps you to relax and begin to focus the energy for connection. Consider it similar to dialing a long distance phone number. It is the preparation for the conversation. You may get some initial interference, but as you continue your focus, it usually disappears and the line is "clear." If not, you may have to "redial," or continue the breathing and focus.
When you have reached your spiritual aims, ask them to show you the benefits of working with them, creating a life that you truly want. Take some time with this. No goal can be reached without desire and motivation. The power and influence (mana) you seek is contained in the focus on this desire and your following actions to manifest that dream.
May your path be clear and your spirit strong.
Aloha, I need a healing. I'm having problems with my stomach. I've tried aloe vera and enema and the problem continues. These aids give temporary relief, but maybe it's my life style. I work in a very high stress situation. I was a bus driver, but then I gave it up to be a station manager. So I traded city driving for demanding people. I like working with people and am good at it, but I can't go to the bathroom naturally. that is a big problem. Can you help? Mahalo.
Mahalo for your email. I will put your name in our healing circle this week. Stress is the #1 cause of dis-ease. Pressures from our jobs, families and everyday conditions are often radically rejected by our bodies. The body senses and endures the lack of harmony and, in its way of loving you, lets you know through physical discomfort that the mind-body connection is out of tune. The stomach area is part of what we call the security center of the body. You have a strong desire to make people happy and do everything you can, but may fear it is not enough.
There was a saying I heard years ago "Impatience on your part does not require rushing on my part." The work will never end. There will always be people to serve. Pressure leads only to more unhappy body signals. There is time to relieve it during breaks, and consciously while you work as well. I offer an exercise for you here:
In the morning and at least three times a day take no less than five and no more than
ten minutes
1. Deep breathe while connecting with an object or concept of beauty. It could be a
picture, memory, flower...
2.While breathing, call on the spirit of your stomach, or area of discomfort, to receive
that image of beauty and rest with it, allowing it to penetrate deeply into the area and
relaxing any tension that is there.
3. Imagine the day as you would have it become. Let the image be filled with as much
sensual awareness as possible (sight, sound, smell, taste, etc.)
4. Release any unwanted thoughts and feelings- simply tell them that they don't matter in
your new life and continue your focus.
5. After 5-10 minutes, bless the spirit in your body for all it does for you and continue
on your adventures!
Any time during the day you can remember to do the breathing. It will help you during the high traffic times to relax. You will feel immediate effects from this, but do it everyday as I have said. It will help repattern your behavior in these situations to where in just a few weeks it will become natural and calmness will replace stress.
How do you get an aumakua? and is there any books out there about Huna?
Aumakua is an Hawaiian word that roughly means ancestral spirit or higher self. It is your connection with the Divine or spiritual realm, holding your creative capabilities. In the system of Huna, it is part of the three selves of your being; the other two are your conscious, directing mind, and your subconscious, acting mind. It has the qualities of all beauty and love. There are many ways to contact it, since it is already a part of you. Some of these techniques may be found in The Road To Self Mastery tape set, The Haumana Student Training tape set, and others in the online catalog. You may also wish to get a better understanding from the Urban Shaman book by Serge King as well. All these selections are available from our website catalogs here at www.paulwaters.com and also at www.huna.org . The other form of aumakua I spoke of is similar to a family power animal. There were sacred species to each family in ancient Hawaii. Some had the pueo (owl), mano (dolphin, shark), honu (turtle) and others. When you learn of contacting the spiritual world and asking for your animal to appear, it will be made clear as to which spirit can help you in each individual situation of need. It is a process too lengthy for email, but I would be happy to advise you as to which tapes and books would be most helpful to you on your quest.
Do you have any questions that Paul can help with? Is there someone you would like to add to our weekly Healing Circle? Any comments about this page that you would like to share? Please email me at the address below. Mahalo and may you walk your path in love.
